Plymouth Welcome Manchester United After FA Cup Giant-Killing
Plymouth Argyle pulled off one of the biggest shocks of the FA Cup fourth round, knocking out Premier League leaders Liverpool with a stunning 1-0 win. Now, manager Miron Muslic and match-winner Ryan Hardie are eyeing another top-flight scalp—Manchester United.
The Championship’s bottom side has already beaten Brentford and Liverpool in this year’s competition and could now face the defending champions, Manchester United, in the next round. Muslic, however, remains unfazed about who Plymouth will play next.

“I don’t care, anyone,” the Austrian boss said when asked about his preferred fifth-round opponent. But when pressed specifically about a clash with Manchester United, he smiled and added:
“They are more than welcome.”
Plymouth’s dream FA Cup run continues after Hardie’s second-half penalty secured their famous victory over Liverpool. But for the striker, one challenge remains—facing Manchester United at Home Park.
Ryan Hardie: “I Want Manchester United”
The Scottish forward, who overcame past FA Cup heartbreak to seal the win against Liverpool, didn’t hesitate when asked about his dream opponent for the next round.

“I want Manchester United. Bring them here,” Hardie declared.
“This day will be cemented in this club’s history, in this city’s history. It’s something we will never forget. When you start your career, these are the days you dream of.”
For Hardie, the moment was particularly special after he missed a crucial penalty against Chelsea in the fourth round three years ago, denying Plymouth a potential shootout.
“I did think about the Chelsea penalty. I was thinking: ‘what happens if the same thing happens again?’ But I wanted to take this one and get it off my back. I’m more than happy with that. It’s a great day for the club and all the fans.”
